Side Street Advances to Semifinals in McCloskey Competition

Last week, Side Street Golf competed in the Semifinals of the McCloskey New Venture Competition. The business plan competition, aimed at current and former Notre Dame Students, is hosted at the University of Notre Dame by the ND IDEA Center. 150 teams entered the competition seeking over $600,000 in cash and in-kind/pitch for investment prizes. We advanced through 2 preliminary rounds before making the cut to the Semifinals round, where 30 teams presented in front of a panel of judges.

The competition was tough, and after sweating it out all day Founder Bob Huguelet and Marketing Analyst Anne Nebbia presented the Back9 along with our impassioned message of making golf more accessible. While the judges were engaged with the presentation, the competition was stiff, and we did not make the top 5 to advance to the Finals.
